In 2012, I made a bold move and pivoted from a career in human rights advocacy to consumer tech. I joined a little known pre-Series A startup called Postmates (acquired by Uber) to launch its first markets. With no playbook in hand, I launched market after market, expanding Postmates from just San Francisco to Seattle, New York, and DC plus did many things in between. I partnered with local merchants to drive growth, relayed customer feedback to product and engineering to optimize the user experience, and built a rock solid operational infrastructure to ensure that customers had a magical experience with Postmates. After about a year, I made another bold move. I launched my own venture, an e-commerce company, and took on a new challenge with another marketplace startup called Glamsquad. With my e-commerce company, I noticed a trend in influencer marketing and digital media and leveraged both to grow my business. At Glamsquad, I utilized my expansion and operational chops to build out their market expansion playbook, and unlocked revenue by relaunching their weddings business.
And, there’s more! Excited by its fast growth and trajectory, I re-joined Postmates as the Head of Retail Partnerships and GM of New Categories. I partnered with key brands to create unique shopping moments like these, and built new revenue opportunities by launching & scaling Postmates alcohol and grocery categories. With years of multi-stage startup experience in tow, I utilized my expertise to bring great products to market and drive growth through partnerships, monetization, and new business initiatives globally at companies like Apple, Meta and Amazon.
With a unique blend of experience from building a unicorn to driving growth at world renowned companies, I partner with growth-stage startups to help them take their businesses to the next level.
